SRINAGAR, Nov 21: Hitting out at State Government for wanting postponing by-election for Anantnag Parliamentary seat citing security reason, main opposition National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah said if only five per cent population is trouble makers as per Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, then why the polls are deferred.
“Only five per cent population are trouble makers as per @MehboobaMufti & her colleagues so why defer the elections? Fix a date ASAP & let’s see,” Mr Abdullah, who is the former Chief Minister of the State, wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Abdullah was responding to tweet which read, “Deferment of Lok Sabha by-poll in South Kashmir on J&K Govt’s req will be a remarkable admission of the PDP-BJP coalition’s failure in two yrs.”
