ANANTNAG, Apr 23: Charging Omar Abdullah-led Coalition Government with propagating anti-people policies, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and senior leader of PDP Sartaj Madni today regretted that miseries of common people were compounding with every passing day due to misdeeds of the present dispensation.
Addressing a function at Devsar in Anantnag and welcoming large number of Panchayat members who joined PDP here today, Madni said that due to governance deficit, the State is plagued by ineptitude, disorder and rampant corruption.
“Instead of mitigating miseries of the common masses, the present regime is further increasing woes by its causal approach towards day to day problems of the people”, he said and observed that the Government has completely collapsed and administration paralyzed.
Expressing dismay over the worst power crisis being faced by the people across the State in general and Devsar area in particular, Mr Madni said that the electricity supply has hit the worst levels since 2002, before which also the NC Government had ensured that the State is starved of electricity.
Deputy Speaker further said that only achievement of Omar Abdullah led Government was legalization of the corruption. The Government has doled out licences to its Ministers to loot the public exchequer because there is no mechanism to check corruption.
