Omar demands clarification about pellet victim’s 10th exam result

JAMMU, Jan 11: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today demanded clarification about the 10th class result of pellet victim Insha Mushtaq.
Raising the issue during the Zero Hour in the Legislative Assembly, Omar said, “in newspapers her result was shown successful while as per J&K Board of School Education she has been declared pass but need improvement”.
“There is a need to revisit the result of Insha as she could not attend the Math Paper because of blindness”, he further said, adding “BOSE should consider the marks obtained by her in Music Paper”. He hoped that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who was present in the House, to take necessary steps in this regard at the earliest.
Mohammad Yousuf Bhat drew the attention of the Government towards shortage of drinking water and erratic power supply in some areas of Shopian constituency. He demanded early steps to overcome the problem.
Bashir Ahmad Dar asked the Government to expedite the search for the bodies of the missing persons at the site of avalanche at Sadnatop in Kupwara district. Abdul Rahim Rather demanded posting of Naib-e-Tehsildars for Kokernag and Larnoo tehsils and also sought establishment of three Naibats in his home constituency.
Choudhary Mohammad Akram demanded immediate repairs and renovations of 132 KV line from Draba to Chandak. Mohammad Akbar Lone suggested for presence of Chief Minister in District Development Board meetings to enable Legislators to project issues of public importance directly to her.
Asgar Ali Karbalie urged for improvement in power infrastructure in Kargil district to overcome the problems of overloading and power breakdowns. Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami sought for keeping budget provision for the next fiscal for helping widows and destitute.
Aijaz Ahmed Mir pleaded for posting of doctors in all existing Primary Health Centres of his constituency. Aga Syed Ruhullah called for improvement in power supply scenario in district Budgam.
Shakti Raj Parihar demanded for early execution of proposed transmission line to improve the power supply in district Doda.
Krishan Lal drew the attention of the Government towards the damage to residential houses due to Pakistan shelling in border areas of his constituency and demanded early rehabilitation of affected families. Gulzar Ahmed Wani demanded early construction of protection bund along the local nallah in his constituency.
Er. Abdul Rashid called for full involvement of local MLAs in the formulation of district budget and DDB meetings. Gagan Bhagat demanded installation of upgraded transformer in Miran Sahib locality.
G M Saroori demanded 4 more road projects in addition to 2 projects approved in his constituency under NABARD  .
Shamim Firdous urged the Government to take steps for providing adequate drinking water facility in her home Constituency. Noor Mohammad Sheikh sought improvement of sanitation and drainage system in Shalteng area of his Constituency. Mubark Gul called for implementation of DDB meeting decisions in letter and spirit.
Devinder Manyal sought early completion of ongoing road and other development projects in his constituency. Haji Abdul Rashid Dar highlighted various issues of public importance of his constituency.
Pawan Kumar Gupta pleaded for improvement in drinking water facilities in his constituency.
Mohammad Khalil Band sought expansion of Fruit Mandi Pulwama as already sanctioned by the Government. He demanded early release of funds for taking up the expansion work. Daleep Singh Parihar demanded immediate renovation of roads damaged due to snow fall.
Javid Ahmed Rana called for encouraging formation of self help groups under National Livelihood Mission in rural areas  of Poonch district. Usman Abdul Majid demanded speeding up of various ongoing development works in his constituency. Abdul Majeed Larmi demanded release of adequate funds for development works in his constituency.
Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said that implementation of 18 percent GST on the MGNREGA works and said the move has badly affected the execution and called for taking appropriate steps in this regard.
