SRINAGAR : Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who missed Governor N N Vohra’s address to joint session of the legislatures on the opening day of the 35-day-long Budget session yesterday, could not attend the House today also.
However, Mr Abdullah took to micro blogging site twitter and informed that he could not attend the Assembly due to flu.
” I have a touch of flu made worse by the fluff from these Russian Poplar Trees. I hope to recover fully & be back in the assembly tomorrow”, he said.
Interestingly Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who attended the House yesterday was not present today in the House.
Today the House took up obituary reference of nine former members, including former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, father of Mehbooba, who breathed his last on January 7 at AIIMS, New Delhi. (AGENCIES)
