Omar alleges conspiracy against Article 370

SRINAGAR:
Alleging that an elaborate conspiracy was being hatched against the Article 370, which guarantees special status to Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said his National Conference (NC) Party will safeguard the State’s interest at any cost.
Paying glowing tributes to the Martyrs of July 13, 1931, Mr Abdullah, who is also NC Working President today alleged that there was an elaborate conspiracy that was being hatched by  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) against Article 370 and the Special Status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
However, he said NC would do whatever it takes to safeguard the interests of Jammu and Kashmir and its people. Mr Abdullah said the conspiracy has been recently revealed in the media where a particular NGO (which is affiliated to one of these two political parties) has planned to move the Supreme Court to challenge Article 370 and ask for its abrogation.
While these two parties are now fielding proxy NGOs and ‘think tanks’ to move the Supreme Court against Article 370, let me be unambiguous about the resolve of NC to thwart all such overt and covert attempts. (AGENCIES)
