Any nation any democracy, however peace loving it may be can’t survive to find peace and progress to flourish and be all smiles unless and until it has a powerful defence and a very strong security network and deterrent arrangement to defend and safeguard its borders and sovereignty against any outside threat and also to maintain internal security, law and order peace and tranquility against the internal foes.
An uncalled for, unnecessary and baseless controversy has cropped up here against AFSPA both in Assembly and in such zones of the State which serve as hubs for the militants and their disruptive activities for their free movement to cause lawlessness, disruption carnage, insurgency and life-loss.
Since early 90′ our State is in a state of turmoil due to militancy from across the border. This is a glaring and living example of human rights violations as a result of which there has been a lot of bloodshed and life loss, destruction of public and Govt. property. The Chief Minister has very rightly and clearly and amply made it clear on the floor of the Assembly that anyone found guilty of human rights violations shall be punished according to law regardless of his status, position and influence. Infact a heavy amount from the exchequer is directed towards the personal security of not only of MPs,MLAs, MLCs, ministers, the VIPs and the various political leaders of all the parties and their families right from a village level bigwigs of a political party above upto State level cadre, but also even for those who are wants separation from the Union.
Recently two IRP jawans were short dead in Handwara from a very close range by the militants as per media reports. Does it not show militancy is still there. Did the people of valley come out to lodge a protest against this in human act? Both the jawans were of Jammu region of J&K State of our country.
If any security person has been found guilty of human rights violations after a thorough investigation he has been punished in the past. If anybody found so in future he must not be spared at any cost.
Whosoever from among the security personal proven guilty must be punished under law of the land. But it has been seen in the past that most of the human rights violation cases against security forces have been found baseless, false and without substance.
There have been glaring instances in the past that some political leaders/stalwarts and other antinational elements abetting militancy directly or indirectly had come forward to throng the streets in the valley for seeking condonement and life safety for such militants and insurgents as were awarded death sentence by the Supreme Court for their violent activities. This clearly goes to show that these so called leaders and their blind followers are neither for the human rights protection, nor against the human right violations, and equally not for punishment to the violators. Their, one and the only aim is to wrongfully involve the security forces in one way or the other by leveling false charges against them to defame and demoralize the forces by any means through their calculated plans to seek justification for their slogan for withdrawal of forces from the state which they term as self governance, self rule, Azadi and demilitarization for establishing their anarchy in the State. This is the proposed new image of J &K as envisaged by these anti-national forces, which Indian leadership, people of India and the common peace loving masses and people of J &K in particular must stand fully aware of.
Army or Armed Forces never interfere or intervene in civil administration, nor do they do so with civilians or common people in any corner of the country unless they are requested by the civil administration to take the control of the situation under unavoidable circumstances or when the Army has a specific information under security inputs regarding the hide out of militants or disruptive elements where the armed forces do strike which is their prime duty. We do have army in all the Districts of Jammu Province but there has never been a single complaint against Army from any corner not even from Ladakh region. It is very strange that only people of valley on an area not even one fifth of the total area of the states have grudge towards the army which infact is for their safety against militancy to maintain peace and tranquility. Should it welcome the stone pelters and give them a treat or provide tea cups for their violence or react as per its action as per the special powers which it has. When the Army reacts with utmost restraint some life loss does become visible which, of course,is unfortunate. But for all this, it is the exploiters, the instigators the misleaders who are wholly and solely responsible and accountable for such life loss, as these sinners lose nothing for themselves by making the youngones of common people to become scape goats just for their leadership and nefarious designs. Their own sons and daughters are either abroad or some where in other states of the country either for some high studies, trainings, Govt. service or business and never found to participate in protests, demonstrations or stone- pelting campaign. All these cunning political or Antinational Disruptive sources who exploit and misguide the people to foment trouble and violence are infact the greatest enemy of the mankind, peace and harmony and of course,of the country.
In a democratic set-up as ours the people have the freedom to raise their voice for redressal of their genuine grievances in a democratic manner through a peaceful protest or demonstration, but not by resorting to violence hooliganism, vandalism stone pelting and by providing cover to the militants and insurgents to shower bullets on the security forces to cause them life-loss who inturn use the bullets. With the result that there is bloodshed-the ultimate goal of the disruptive agencies.
It is appealed to one and all in J&K State and to those at the helm of affairs, to all political parties and their heads, to all national patriots and even those who still entertain Anti Indian feelings – things in real perspective and make efforts to shun violence, hatred, enemity, antagonism, misuse of religion to create communal and inter religious conflicts and social rifts as Jammu and Kashmir has suffered a lot, it has bled profusely having already lost a good chunk of our younger generation due to militancy from the bullets from any side. The Pak sponsored militancy has damaged J &K without any loss to Pak for whom the game of militancy against India has been nothing short of a hobby.
