JAMMU, Aug 6: While sharing the pain and miseries of the residents of Baazigar Basti, Bahu Fort Jammu, the Nationalist Youth Congress- youth wing of NCP joined the strong protest demonstration held by the people of the area against non- availability of potable water.
The people of the Bahu Fort area while showing anguish and dismay over the non-supply of drinking water at Baazigar Basti, alleged that people have been left to suffer during these hot summer days. People alleged that their concerned MLA Kavinder Gupta has never bothered to take the stock of the problems and difficulties faced by the residents of the area.
The youth NCP activists while protesting alleged that people of the area are now mostly dependent on purchasing the drinking water bottles from the market or hiring private water tanker.
While speaking State Youth president of the NCP Rishi Kaul Kilam said that it is surprising and shameful that the said area being a tourist as well as the highly sacred religious place lacks the basic civic facilities. He invited the attention of concerned MLA and the PHE and Tourism Minister to visit the area and feel the agony and pain of the residents of the area.
