REASI, Dec 11: Nukkad Natak “Nai Disha Nai Umang” was staged by Abhinaya Kala Manch in collaboration with NABARD, Reasi at Main Bazaar, Mahore. The Nukkad Natak was written by Vishal Kathpal and directed by Shadab Khan.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest, who inaugurated the play in the presence of Tehsildar, Chand Singh, XEn, PWD, MK Vikram, sarpanchs, panchs and local people.
The play was based on National Banks for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) schemes. Characters of the play repeated the slogan ‘Sahukaar se todo Naata, Bank me Jaake kholo Khaata”, so that more and more people get the benefits of the NABARD Schemes.
Those who acted in the play were Pritam Kumar as dood wala, Anil Kumar as Sahukar, Rohit Kumar as Kissan, Hardeep Bhagat as Ram Singh, Barkha Thakur as Susheela Behan (Bank Employee), Alka Thakur as kissan’s wife, Shadab Khan as narrator and Vishal Kathpal as sarpanch. The music was composed by Aasim Khan and costumes were designed by M Akram Khan.
DC Ravinder Kumar in his speech boosted the morale of the artists and also presented vote of thanks.
