Nubra students on educational tour under Operation Sadbhavana

Nubra students with Army officers before being flagged off for tour under Operation Sadbhavana.

UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: In order to further the aim of involving people of Ladakh in the national mainstream, an educational-cum-motivational tour has been  organized by the Army for 15 students from remote villages in Nubra Valley to Chandigarh, New Delhi, Agra, Lucknow and  Amritsar.
The aim of the ongoing tour is to ensure that these students can witness the rich cultural heritage of India and are also abreast with the latest developments of country in fields of science and technology.
During the tour under Operation Sadbhavana, the students are having  an opportunity to interact with the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee and  visit the places of national heritage such as  Qutab Minar, Jantar Mantar, Lotus Temple, Jamia Masjid and India Gate.
The team at Chandigarh will meet the  Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal and visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake and various shopping malls in Chandigarh.
The trip will also provide most of the students with their first opportunity of a train journey and various fun experiences such as visiting shopping malls and seeing the streets of Delhi and movie in multiplex hall.
The team will also visit Agra and witness the wonder of the world famous Taj Mahal and move  to Lucknow where they will meet  Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and also see Imam Bada, Residency, Parivartan Sthal, Bhool  Bhulaiya and Multiplex.
