NSUI holds protest, demands restoration of internet services

JAMMU, Nov 15: Hundreds of students under the leadership of UT J&K President NSUI Raqeeq Ahmed Khan held protest against the suspension of internet for more than 100 days.
The protest was organized by Akshay Sharma, Mohammad Yaseen, Bashrat Latif, Anirudh Raina, Shubham Sharma and Momin Malik.
Amid slogans, the protestors were demanding restoration of internet services in the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir.
While speaking, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan said that due to internet blockage the student community and youth of Jammu and Kashmir have become handicapped. Many of NEET, KAS, IAS and IES aspirants could not fill their forms.
“We held protest today against the suspension of internet services for more than 100 days. Internet is basic tool for students to continue their studies”, he stated.
Khan demanded immediate restoration of internet services in Jammu and Kashmir.
“If Central Government fails to restore in Jammu and Kashmir within five days, NSUI J&K will launch a Union Territory wide agitation for restoration of internet in J&K”, he informed.
Anuj Manhas UT Vice President NSUI, Vikas Badhoria UT General Secretary NSUI, Farooq, Nadeem, Safder, Zahid, Atul, Shubham and many others were also present during the protest.
