NSUI holds one-day convention

JAMMU, Nov 24: Jammu and Kashmir National Student Union of India (NSUI) held one-day convention, here today and exhorted its cadres to strive for and look to a bright future for the party in all three regions of the State.
Rajeev Satav, Member of Parliament and former president IYC and Roji M John, national president of NSUI were main guests in the convention, which was organized under the leadership of NSUI State president Neeraj Kundan.
Rajeev Satav said that Congress party will leave no stone unturned under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi to fight for the rights of the youth and students community. He also extended his full support for the security of J&K students studying in Maharashtra.
Roji M John said that because of the transformation process by Rahul Gandhi, the students from common family background were getting the opportunity to become leaders.
Senior vice president JKPCC, Sham Lal Sharma; Nawang Rigzin Jora- CLP leader; Jugal Kishore Sharma-MLC and leader of the party in Upper House; Ravinder Sharma-chief spokesman JKPCC; Vikram Malhotra, Ch Shahnawaz-general secretaries JKPCC; president Mahila Congress, Indu Pawar and president DCC Jammu Urban, Anil Chopra also addressed the convention.
Sham Lal Sharma said that peace and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir has been restored by numerous sacrifices of people of all walks, security forces and political workers. “The Congress workers and other secular forces should not allow the communal and divisive forces to destroy this achievement at any cost, he said and asked people to get ready to expose the agenda of opportunistic forces which betrayed the electorates.
National office bearers including Ifthkar Ahmed, Uday Chib, Amit Pathania and Feroz Khan also addressed the convention.
Prominent among those, who also participated in the convention, included State vice president of NSUI Sahil Raina; State co-ordinator Sahil Singh Langeh; State general secretary Abhijot Singh; Naseeb Ali, Ajay Kumar, Kamal Mangotra, Nitin Bakshi, Anuj, Hosihar Singh, Atul, Sunny Parihar, Nishant and others.
