JAMMU, Dec 26: Reiterating the corruption charges leveled by Rahul Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NSUI activists held a protest, here today.
Shouting slogans, the agitating NSUI activists also torched an effigy of the Prime Minister and demanded a high level probe into the charges of corruption.
The NSUI activists, led by their State president Neeraj Kundan, assembled near the Jammu University main gate and held a protest amidst raising of slogans.
Neeraj Kundan, in his address to the protesting activists, announced that NSUI is going to launch an agitation across the State to expose the alleged corrupt practices of PM Narendra Modi and in his involvement as per the report of Income Tax Department in taking rupees 65 crore   from Sahara Group and Rs 25 crore from Aditya Birla Group during his Chief Minister tenure.
The NSUI leader demanded an enquiry into the corruption charges from an independent agency and said that Modi should resign as PM for ensuring an independent probe in this regard.
On the issue of demonetization, Kundan said that people were being harassed in the name of surgical strike against black money. “Big corporate friends of BJP had settled their black money well before the decision was made public on November 8 and only common people and poor are facing hardships on this count,” he alleged.
Others, who addressed the gathering, included  Amjad,  Sunny Parihar,  Ranjot, Vishal Kotwal, Rohit Attri, Ranvir, Chandan and  Khalid.
