NSF protests against ‘irregularities’ in CUJ

JAMMU, July 1: Intensifying its struggle against financial irregularities  and favoritism in Jammu Central University, activists of National Secular Forum today held protest demonstration against Chancellor of Central University for allegedly shielding ‘tainted’ officers.
Led by NSF president Sukhdev Singh, the NSF activists  assembled outside gate of University  and lodged protest demonstration amid sloganeering against Vice Chancellor.
They appealed HRD Minister to intervene in the matter and initiate a CBI probe, to unearth the illegal recruitment racket in CUJ.
NSF  president criticized the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor for his failure to keep a check on corrupt officers and ensuring accountability in functioning of the University.
Singh alleged  that  the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials ignoring  meritorious youth of Jammu region in jobs, which were  being awarded to non-locals.
