MAJALTA Jan 31: National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded immediately opening of Degree College at Majalta to facilitate needs of the student community.
The activists of Majalta Unit of NSF today protested against concerned authorities at Manwal for delaying the opening of Degree College at Majalta. The protesting activists raised slogans against the State Government and demanded immediate opening of a Degree College at Majalta.
Addressing the protesters, Sukdev Singh, State vice president, NSF accused the State Government of ignoring Majalta tehsil where the people lack facilities for higher educational institution.
He said as the Majalta is located about 48 kilometers away from Udhampur; the students of Tehsil have to either go to Udhampur or Samba for higher studies. Singh said that the opening of a Degree College in Tehsil would benefit the students.
