NSF demands CBI probe in Central University Jammu appointments

JAMMU, July 13:  National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded CBI inquiry in the recently held appointments of Assistant Professors in the Central University Jammu (CUJ) as the process and procedures adopted by the University were totally unethical, illegal and violation of the Fundamental Right of equal opportunity.
Addressing the media person here today, NSF State president Dr Vikas Sharma condemned the discrimination and suppression of the Jammu youth in the recent appointments by CUJ.
“The eligible local candidates, who were already there as Contractual Asstt Professors and had applied for the permanent posts, were not even called for the interview while those from outside the State were selected,” he explained.
Dr Sharma also highlighted several other alleged irregularities and mismanagement in the Central University Jammu which were being held without any transparency. The CUJ has become rehabilitation centre for nears and dears of some officials while the deserving candidates are ignored without any reason,” he added and demands a CBI inquiry in all the recent appointments of the Assistant Professors. He also urged the Governor to take some strict actions against all the culprits who are found guilty.
The NSF president also briefed about the signature campaign which entered into the consecutive 12th day today. He informed that more than 25 thousand persons from the Jammu district have so far put their signature against the prevailing corruption and irregularities in CUJ where Jammu youth were being ignored.
