JAMMU, Apr 28: The National Secular Forum (NSF) has castigated the State Government, in general, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in particular, for surrendering the interests of Jammu region before the dominating Kashmiri leadership.
Addressing a press conference here, NSF president Sukhdev Singh said BJP had been raising issue of discrimination at all the forums but ever since it joined the Government as coalition partner, its leaders have themselves adopted a silent posture.
While coming down heavily on the remarks of the Deputy CM Nirmal Singh that there was no question of snatching AIIMS from Kashmir and giving it to Jammu, Sukhdev wondered on the recent statement of Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh quoting that Jammu is the fittest case for establishing AIIMS as Kashmir already has SKIMS in Soura while Jammu sans such facility.
Sukhdev warned the BJP leadership to mend its way and show proper concern over the issues related to the interests of Jammu region otherwise people will throw them out of the power.
