NRHM employees demand timely release of salaries

DODA, June 23: Expressing anger over routine delay in release of their dues, the district body of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Paramedical Association today urged the authorities to ensure timely and regular disbursement of their salaries.
Addressing a meeting of NRHM employees, Faizan Ali Tramboo said that Government is ignoring the NRHM employees working in the State as none of their demands have been considered so far by the Government.
“The NRHM/RBSK/NCD employees are at the verge of starvation due to non-serious attitude of the Government towards them, as they are without salary for 4-5 months. Further, the State Government is regularizing all contractual/adhoc staff and daily wagers of various departments but no action regarding regularization of NRHM employees has been taken up since 2005”, he regretted.
He also highlighted various other demands which include immediate regularization of all NRHM employees viz Doctors/Paramedics/Management Staff on the pattern of ReTs, enhancement of salaries of NRHM employees and those working in newly launched NCD and RBSK scheme at par with NRHM employees of other states, immediate release of rural incentives for paramedics under different categories and also to RBSK staff, job security to all NRHM employees, general insurance to all employees working under NRHM, etc.
Tramboo urged the Union Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, State Health Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Mission Director NRHM, Dr Yash Pal Sharma to personally look into the matter at an earliest so that the NRHM, RBSK and NCD staff may not suffer any more.
