The protesting employees said that they are without the wages from last three years and despite approaching authorities, their pleas are being ignored. “Our wages are being withheld from last three years. We approached the authorities several times but unfortunately, our pleas went into the deaf years,” Arshid Ahmad Tali said.
They said the funds which were spent on the material of the works that have been done are also pending and have not been released till date. “We were told that the funds as well as the wages would be released after the 15 days of the work done. We used material for the blocks purchased from our own pockets. But till date neither the funds nor the wages were released,” a protesting employee said.
