JAMMU, Sept 13:  Zonal president of NPP, Neeraj Gupta has expressed serious concern over the slow pace of development and delay being  caused on completion of city’s important projects.
Addressing a  press conference here today, NPP leader regretted the delay being caused on development projects and Smart City project of Jammu.  He  said that the Smart City projects and other developmental projects are like dream come true for the people of Jammu. But  there is no sign of development  and it is restricted to papers only. Ground reality is that the roads, medical, education, transport, security related facilities are in worst condition.
He pointed out that the dumps of garbage lying here and there, big pits and uncovered man holes are welcoming at most of the roads especially on the way to Janipur, Paloura, Bakshi Nagar, Rehari, Patoli, Subhash Nagar,  Talab Tillo, Transport Nagar  etc. The Govt is not having time to talk about the developmental projects like Gandhola, Tawi Artificial Lake, and expansion of Jammu Railway Station etc.
The NPP leader further said that the Govt is not serious about the completion of these developmental projects. He further said that the present Govt gives assurances but no assurance has ever been fulfilled till date. No arrangements have been made for parking space and security popular shrine of Maa Bawe Wali Mandir and Maha Maya Mata Temple keeping in view of the coming Navratras. No Sarai has been raised near the temple for the stay of pilgrims.
Delay in developmental projects amounts to denial of these projects. He said that before proceeding for the Smart City projects basic facilities should be provided to the people of Jammu. Regular supply of water and electricity, black topping roads, good health facility etc. are basic necessities of the people and it is the duty of the Govt to provide them all these facilities.
Joginder Singh, Zonal general secretary,  Mela Ram  secretary, Anil Sharma, Surat Lal and Tejinder Singh etc were also present.
