RS PURA, Mar 5: J&K National Panthers Party in a protest rally held at border town of RS Pura demanded restoration of statehood, holding delimitation of Assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the rally of the local residents Prof Bhim Singh, chief patron of NPP appealed the residents of Jammu and Kashmir to unite and work for the restoration of peace and communal harmony in J&K. He said that after the division of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories, the people have lost their statehood as well as national identity.
Singh after hearing several local activists from different political parties, assured that the Central leadership shall restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir which has been promised by the Central leadership including Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through most difficult times since 1947. He said restoration of 2G Network after seven months has not satisfied the residents of Jammu and Kashmir as it is only half way and the Central Govt should restore 4G Network which was operating in J&K before August 5, 2019.
He also demanded Delimitation without any delay so that both Jammu region and Kashmir Valley shall be provided Assembly seats in accordance with the Rules and the Constitution and principles of delimitation of the constituencies.
Bhim Singh assured the local people that the Panthers Party shall continue its struggle for the restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, for the Reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir so that both regions Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh shall get Assembly seats in accordance with the population.
