JAMMU, Aug 4: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Parliamentary Board today held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of former Minister and MLA Ramnagar Harshdev Singh.
The Board discussed various issues in the wake of coming Assembly elections in the State and challenges before the party. Speaking on the occasion Harshdev Singh said that party has emerged as a major votary of rights of the common masses and reorganization of the State. He said that State is passing through a very turbulent time and the present Coalition Government has failed in addressing the important issues of Bijli, Sadak, Paani and development of the State. He said that it is now Panthers Party towards whom the common masses of the State are looking for a leadership role.
Addressing the meeting, NPP president and MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia said that people of Jammu and Kashmir State are looking at Panthers Party as the only hope to end the misrule of present Coalition Government of National Conference and Congress. He said that people are fed up with corrupt, inefficient Government and it is high time that Panthers Party puts its act together and get people rid of this Government. He said that state is passing through a severe financial crunch and all the developmental works have come to a stand still.
“The State is at the verge of bankruptcy and it would be very difficult for the next government to bring it out of the quagmire of the financial mismanagement,” said Mankotia.
He further added that the forms of the prospective candidates for contesting the next Assembly has been received in large numbers and in next meeting, the mandate for the party candidates would be discussed.
