NPP committed to achieve separate statehood for Jammu: Mankotia

JAMMU, May 10: Panthers Party’s State president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has reiterated that party is committed for separate Jammu statehood and receiving huge support from general masses.
Addressing a rally at village Tirlokpur of Marh constituency, Mankotia said that the Panthers Party’s Haq-Insaaf Yatra started for separate Jammu Statehood demand has reached every nook and corner of the region. and received overwhelm support which proves that patriotic people of Jammu region are much aware about the soft approach towards Kashmir and would not bear the political slavery of central leadership.
Former MLA said that people of Jammu region remain more connected with political parties like Congress and BJP but these two parties were more concerned about Kashmir. “Both parties have used Jammu people as vote bank and now people feel unsecure with the situation developed in Kashmir. Since independence, mostly Congress ruled the State and people of Jammu region remain deprived politically, development activities and in employment sector,” he added.
And now, the JKNPP president further said, when BJP is running the Government both in Centre and State, the establishment has crossed the limit by adopting biased approach towards Jammu region. “People are facing discrimination in employment, development, allocation of funds and other sectors and due to these reasons Panthers Party is committed for separate statehood for Jammu region,” he stressed.
Mankotia disclosed that party will launch the movement vigorously at Panchayat level for its lasting conclusion. He also raised the issue of dilapidated condition of roads of Marh constituency and demanded early facelift of these roads.
Party leader Anil Rakwal, Sham Gorkha, Mohinder Pal and others also spoke on this occasion.
