Notorious drug peddler held, charas recovered

RAMBAN, Oct 10: Batote police today nabbed a notorious drug peddler and recovered charas from his possession.
As per police sources, the patrolling party of the Police Station Batote found a suspected roaming near Baghu Nallah adjoining to Gurudwara Sahib Batote today morning.
On seeing the police party, the accused started running. The police party suspecting some foul play chased and nabbed him.
During checking, 60 grams of charas was recovered from the possession of the accused and was immediately taken into custody.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Majeed, son of Jamaal Din, a resident of Thard, district Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 70/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Vijay Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Imtiaz Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
