Notorious drug peddler detained

JAMMU, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Miran Sahib Area executed the detention warrant of a notorious drug peddler booked under the PIT NDPS Case.
A police spokesperson said that an information was received through reliable sources about the presence of a notorious drug peddler-cum-history-sheeter, Sanjeev Kumar alias Chottu of Bansultan at present Gazian.
Accordingly a police team reached at the suspected place and arrested the drug peddler, said the police spokesperson.
Pertinently, his detention under the Prevention of the Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act 1998 was issued against him by Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
“Today, the detention warrant was executed and the accused was shifted to District Jail Amphalla, Jammu after completing the legal formalities,” a police spokesperson said.
