SAMBA, Aug 9: District Magistrate Sushma Chauhan has booked a notorious drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, in order to curtail the activities of hardcore criminal/drug peddler identified as Shiv Raj Singh alias Raju, son of o Isher Singh of Gurha Slathia Tehsil Vijaypur, who was involved in number of criminal activities and is a great threat to the life and liberty of the people of Samba District particularly Vijaypur town, a special team of Police Station Vijaypur led by SHO Inspector Rajinder Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Baljeet Singh and SSP Samba Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma was constituted and the arrest of the accused was affected.
In order to put an end to his prejudicial criminal activities, District Police Samba compiled all the police record of accused, prepared his dossier and got issued his warrant under Public Safety Act issued from Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, so as to prevent him from indulging in prejudicial criminal activities. The accused has been lodged in Sub-Jail Hiranagar today after execution of warrant under PSA issued against him.
