JAMMU, June 6: Police in Miran Sahib Area claimed today that they have arrested a notorious criminal who was wanted in multiple cases.
A police spokesperson said that reliable sources shared information with police that one Sohan Lal of Village Chakrohi, Suchetgarh, RS Pura, who was wanted in several cases, was wandering in the area.
On this, he said, teams of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq raided the area and arrested the absconder and produced him before the court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate RS Pura.
On the directions of the court, the absconder was sent to District Jail Amphalla under judicial custody.
Pertinently, the accused, who was at large, was wanted in three cases registered at Police Station Miran Sahib under sections 454, 380, and 201 of the IPC.
