JAMMU : The Election Commission today issued notification for four Rajya Sabha seats of Jammu and Kashmir, going to polls on February 7. Returning Officer for Biennial Election and the Secretary of J&K Legislative Assembly, stated that as per the EC schedule, January 28 is the last date for filing nominations, while scrutiny of nomination forms will be taken up on January 27 and January 31 is the last date for withdrawal of candidature.
Polling will be held between 0900 hrs and 1600 hrs, the official added.
Four Rajya Sabha seats held by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Prof Saifuddin Soz, Muhammad Shafi Uri and Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri are falling vacant by the end of second week of February. (AGENCIES)
