POONCH, Jan 12: Executive Magistrate Surankote has issued a general notice to all occupants on State, Kachharie and Roshni lands to demolish constructions themselves within a week time.
A notice under number OQ/SKT/1350 reads that “all the occupants on State, Kachharie and Roshni lands in Surankote Tehsil are being informed through this notice to demolish their illegal constructions/ structures within a week, as no action has been taken by themselves even after serving notices earlier, so it is once again intimated to do the same, either the expenses of demolition will be taken from them and action under law may also be taken”.
Pertinent to mention here that this notice has been issued following the Government order number 02 (Rev) dated 09/01/2023 in which District administrations were asked to furnish the information in respect of removal of encroachments on daily basis to the Revenue Department.
