JAMMU:
A high level Norwegian delegation led by the country’s ambassador today inspected the ongoing health projects being executed in Jammu and Kashmir under the collaboration of India and Norway.
“The purpose of the visit was to inspect the ongoing health projects being executed in Jammu and Kashmir under the collaborative programme of Norway and India under Norway India Partnership Initiatives (NIPI),” an official spokesman said.
He said that apart from Ambassador Eivind Homme, the delegation included Unni Silkoset, John Loov and Dr Ashfaq Bhat, officials of the Norwegian embassy in India.
The delegation also called on the Minister for Health and Medical Education Chowdhary Lal Singh here in Jammu. The Health Minister thanked Norway for its support to the State.
The Ambassador of Norway to India said that Norway is committed to support the State under health sector and will do whatever it takes to support the National Health Mission in the State, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
