SRINAGAR: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh today called on Governor Satya Pal Malik here and apprised him about the overall security situation in the valley, officials said.
Singh assured the Governor of the Army’s full support in maintaining peace and harmony in the State, an Army official said.
Singh, who has undertaken extensive tour to review operational preparedness of troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and hinterland, shared his views with the Governor, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.
The Governor and the army commander also reviewed the situation along the International Border and the Line of Actual Control. (AGENCIES)
