BVM leaders, political, social activists join BJP

JAMMU, Aug 31: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), national vice president and Prabhari J&K Avinash Rai Khanna has expressed his serious concern over the atrocities being committed on minorities in Pakistan. Talking to reporters at a joining programme of party at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar here today, Khanna said minorities are being attacked continuously and forced conversions are being made which has been openly admitted by a Moulvi in Pakistan sometime back.

Condemning the soft policy by Pakistan Government on extremism on minorities, he said that even Muslims are safer in India than the Muslims residing in the rogue State of Pakistan. He also said that population of all minorities have reduced significantly in Pakistan, which is to be noticed at International level by all agencies.
Khanna, denounced the inhumane act of abduction, forced conversion and forced marriage of a daughter of a Granthi of Gurudwara in Nankana Sahib and said that he has also written to the authorities to act tough on the issue. He said that the issue is already taken up at the highest level by the authorities.
Khanna, said with the abrogation of Article 370, there is one Constitution and one Flag in whole India and with the step, BJP has worked towards the true unification of the nation in letter and spirit. He also said that the normalcy is returning fast in the Valley and our focus is to stimulate development and peace at the same time. He also put emphasis on entrepreneurship and employment giving specific example of development of medicinal plants in Valley. Khanna, also informed that the BJP is going to celebrate “Sewa Saptah” (Service Week) from September 14 to September 20, in which the party leaders will undertake various public programmes to serve the common masses. He also said that BJP will conduct 370 programmes in whole of India, in which party will highlight the miseries unleashed due to Article 370 earlier and now the benefits after its abrogation.
Earlier in the function, Bharat Vikas Manch (BVM) leaders and other prominent political and social personalities today joined BJP in presence of party national vice-president & prabhari for J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna. BJP State general secretaries, Dr. Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora, Prabhari R.S. Pura, Jaideep Sharma also accompanied Khanna during the joining programme.
BJP State Spokes persons Balbir Ram Rattan, Ashwani Chrungoo, State office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta, State secretary, Protocol, Sanjay Khanna, State press secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, district general secretary, Vijay Gupta, SC Morcha State general secretary, Dharminder Kumar and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.

Avinash Rai Khanna, while welcoming the prominent leaders, congratulated them for their decision to join the BJP. He said that by taking decision to join the party, they have valued the policies and the steps taken by the BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that as they have entered into a familial bond with the BJP, now they must understand that BJP is dedicated and disciplined party. He stressed that in this party, anybody with dedication can reach to any post and cited example of Narendra Modi who having a humble family background became PM.
