JAMMU, Sept 17: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla has alleged that inefficiency and misrule of PDP-BJP regime has pushed the State backward on every front.
Addressing public meeting at Bathindi and Narwal Bala in Gandhi Nagar constituency today, Bhalla said that Government is not visible anywhere on the ground. It is only seen on papers and also through hollow slogans in the media. The State Government has totally failed and it has no moral authority to rule the State.
Bhalla further said that the Government has betrayed border people and others who were exploited ruthlessly during 2014 elections to Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly by making promises that turned out to be just hoax. Trashing the poor report card of the present dispensation, Bhalla said that over two and half years of PDP-BJP Government in two spells brought just miseries to the people, as development and implementation of various welfare schemes remained a far cry due to naivety and inexperience of the BJP. He said both the coalition partners worked at cross purposes as a result of which the people remained at the receiving end. He also referred to the non-disbursement of compensation to those hit by rains and flash floods during the past two years and said the border victims got just nothing.
The former minister charged the PDP- BJP of working at cross purposes, saying the people are suffering adversely as a consequence. He said the people of the State have realised futility of reposing their trust to the coalition which has failed on all fronts. The situation on development front in particular is alarming in remote and far-off areas while resentment is brewing among educated unemployed, as the Government has failed in creating opportunities for them.
Bhalla alleged that BJP Ministers are non-performing liability on the people of Jammu region who voted them to power. He said the public anger against them and the Coalition Govt is rising high as the present dispensation has literally failed to deliver good to the people. He said that BJP is a party with double standard. What they commit before the elections do not fulfill on attaining power. He termed BJP the merchant of day dreaming and cautioned people not to fall in their trap.
