SRINAGAR, July 25: JKMPCL—a cooperative organisation of the State has stated that on July 3 district administration of Srinagar closed down one of its units at Milk Plant Cheshmashahi which was processing 50,000 litres of milk for civil and army supplies.
A handout stated that this has affected the working of the organisation as Rs 250 lakh was to be paid by the army to JKMPCL which is not being paid due to a court order.
The organisation has expressed dismay and expressed concern that under such circumstances how will it supply milk to the army units and how will it make payments to the farmers from whom it procures milk.26
