UDHAMPUR, Oct 25: Panic gripped Kud area in Chenani tehsil after a 13-year old boy was attacked by a bear and left critically injured, here this morning.
The victim, identified as a Mohamed Arif, son of Raj Ali, resident of Marooni Upper Mada, was attacked by the bear when he was grazing domestic animal in forest area.
The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur in view of his serious condition.
Villagers also reported the incident to the Police and Wildlife Department officials and sought necessary action for the safety of their lives and cattle also.
