JAMMU, June 14: Problems of the people of village Sagoon in Surinsar area have increased manifolds as the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has not supplied water to the hamlet for the last 25 days.
Locals of the village Parkash Chand, Ram Krishan, Des Raj, Girdhari Lal, Sansar Chand and Ram Ditta have informed that they are fetching water from some far off wells to carry on daily chores.
“We repeatedly visited offices of the concerned but return with their excuses of one or the other technical snag responsible for the problem,” the villagers said.
They have said that if the problem is not solved soon then they will be forced to stage protest demonstration against the department concerned.
