SRINAGAR, Nov 7: The Sub District Magistrate Srinagar today didn’t give any relief to the Vista Group and continued sealing order of its office and freezing of bank account while he asked the people who had paid money to the Group to approach him.
SDM Srinagar, Syed Haneef Balkhi, while hearing the case of Vista Group today after its office was sealed last week and accounts were frozen, asked the people who have paid money to the group to contact him.
“If anyone has paid money to Vista Group, he should approach us. We will make a note of it and ask him to pay the money from his frozen account or we will recover from him”, said SDM.
Sources said that the Vista Group has Rs 2 lakh in its Axis Bank account (No. 916020037797791 in the name of Vista Group 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagar) that was frozen last week.
The Chairman of the Group Burhan Baig alias Andy Baig pleaded for unsealing of his office and de-freezing of the Axis Bank account. But the SDM has deferred the case hearing till November 14.
Vista Group claimed that its registration certificate has been provided by the Labour Department and it is genuine while the Labour Department has told the SDM that the registration certificate of the group is fake.
The SDM Srinagar sealed Vista office last week a day after Excelsior reported that the registration certificate of the group is fake and its chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have questionable Aadhar Cards besides it has no office in Gurgaon which it claims.
The group had invited applications for various jobs and had received 4300 applications before it was sealed last week. The group was already under scanner after doubts about its claims.
