SRINAGAR, Jan 1: Senior BJP leader Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has claimed that there is no place for violence and corruption under the new set up in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing gathering at Dreygam (Arampora) in Parnewa block of Khansahib Assembly constituency today, she said after the DDC elections, this was the first public rally of BJP in Kashmir. “I am happy to meet people of this area again after a few years and thank the locals of the constituency for their love and affection. I see the trust of people in Modi Ji’s political approach for J&K and we will don’t disappoint the people,” Darakhshan said.
She further said that provocative and divisive statements of NC and PDP leadership reflect their desperation as they are now facing charges of loot, mismanagement and corruption. “They now issue threats of breach in the peaceful atmosphere in J&K and also invoke religious sentiments of people for their protection. But whatever they do, they will have to face the law for their sins and misuse of power for long,” she added.
Andrabi said that the historical decisions for J&K have been taken by the Government and the result of these public welfare decisions will transform the lives of common people within some months. She said that DDC elections have altogether changed the definition of democracy at ground level in J&K. The Government has devised a roadmap of transforming lives of common people through the decisions and schemes that are being implemented in J&K within a year.
