NEW DELHI: Schools in ten states are yet to have digital classrooms while 15 states do not have online admission facilities and eight states do not have ICT labs.
These are the findings of the India Digital Education Report about schooling in the Corona era released by Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Tuesday. The report also features a message from the Prime Minister and Dr Pokhriyal about the Government’s steps in the field of digital education.
The report gives detailed data about the digital status of education in 35 states and union territories of the country, which shows the digital gap in the education sector in the country. Apart from this, facts are given about 16 standards of digital education, in which information is provided about digital admission, digital class room, ICT lab e-book, e-course material, educational radio educational, TV, and computer mobile application.
