No one will be allowed to play with religious sentiments: Vibodh

KALAKOTE Dec 4: In a recent unfortunate event Dongli Mata mandir was set ablaze by some miscreants in Gibas area of Kalkote Constituency of Rajouri district. The minority community of the area communicated this to senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta who today paid a visit to the temple and promised that miscreants behind the ugly act will be brought to book and will be punished severely.
The locals told him that the temple has a 400 year old history and is highly revered among the local minority community . He was also informed that Mata’s Pindi was found burnt, which is a direct attack on the faith of local community.
While addressing the local people, MLC expressed grave concern and anguish over this unfortunate incident. Vibodh promised that he will call upon the police to leave no stone unturned to ensure that culprits are immediately caught and arrested.
“Such acts are not acceptable in the diverse multi-religious society of India. He further added that no one will be allowed to play with the religious sentiments of people. A temple is a sacred place of worship and its sanctity must be maintained”, said MLC.
Vibodh extended his full support to the local people of Gibas and appealed them to feel secure as he will personally follow with police the developments in the case.
Vibodh also appealed the locals to immediately reconstruct the damaged parts of temple and committed his full contribution in the construction of the temple on a large scale. He asked people to continue worship in the temple with full zeal and enthusiasm. The local Hindus of the area complimented MLC for understanding their plight.
