2 thieves arrested

JAMMU, Dec 4: Janipur police arrested two thieves, who tried to loot ATM.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Branch Manager SBI Bank Janipur Branch with Police Station Janipur stating that during the intervening night of November 30 and December 1, some unknown persons entered into SBI ATM at Janipur and attempted to steal cash from the machine and later damaged it also.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 108/18 under Section 457, 380, 511 and 427 RPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police immediately swung into action and coordinated efforts to trace the accused were launched by cops from Police Station Janipur and Police Post Sarwal.
After hectic efforts, the accused persons were identified and arrested within 48 hours. The arrested persons have been identified as Ayush Sharma, son of Ashok Sharma of Main Stop Janipur and Rishav Gupta, son of Naresh Gupta of Old Rehari Jammu.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Rajpal Singh and assisted by Incharge Sarwal Police Post SI Purab Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sheema Nabi Qasba, SP City Amritpal Singh and DIG JKS Range and Incharge SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
