No one should sleep hungry during lockdown: Sat Sharma

JAMMU, May 10: BJP Jammu West distributed dry ration amongst more than 100 needy families which also included migrant labourers who are residing in Ward 32 of Jammu West Assembly segment. Former State president, BJP and Ex MLA, Sat Sharma (CA) distributed ration amongst them. He was accompanied by district president, BJP, Munish Khajuria, Mandal president, Keshav Chopra, Corporator, Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia, district general secretary, Rajesh Gupta and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that as directed by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and national president, JP Nadda we have set up team of volunteers in each and every Ward of Jammu West who are helping needy people in every way possible. He stated that we are also identifying those people as well who are suffering from ill health so that medicines could be delivered to them by our teams at their door steps.
He appealed to the masses to provide food to needy in their areas and don’t let any needy person sleep hungry, he added. He also stated that humanity will eventually win this fight against COVID-19 but we all have to be united and cautious to win the battle.
Munish, Keshav and Karlupia stated that with the help of former MLA, more than 20000 families including locals and migrant labourers were provided with essential facilities in all 26 wards which has sorted out many basic problems. Cooked food in form of langar are also being provided so that no one sleeps hungry, they added.
