The conviction of AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala in the disproportionate assets case underlines once again the fact that no one is above law. Though one may play hide and seek with the law for a time by exploiting its legal loopholes one has to finally surrender before it. The nation must be thankful to the judiciary for cracking down the corrupt, bringing the rich and the powerful down to the level of common man.
The law of the land is the last hope for every citizen of the nation. Those who do not have access to corridors of power usually turn to courts for getting justice. And it becomes necessary for the people of country to follow legal route while holding public office. There is no scope for corrupt in the country.The conviction of Sasikala should be an eye-opener for all those who may take law for granted.
