NEW DELHI: India is not aware of – officially – whether 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation will hold any special meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the member nations on India related matters, MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar said here on Thursday.
“Pakistan has also not confirmed any such meet of OIC…They have also said envisaged, planned etc. I don’t think there has been a statement by Pakistan confirming that such a meeting is happening,” Mr Kumar told reporters here fielding questions.
He said the meeting of Foreign Ministers of OIC member nations take place every year and it will happen this year too.
“So. Let us see…I am right in saying we have no information so far regarding any India-focused meet of OIC,” he said.
There were reports earlier generally quoting Pakistani officials that Saudi Arabia will host a special foreign ministers’ meet of the OIC on Kashmir issue. (AGENCIES)
