This has reference to the news item ‘No more multiple NOCs, just single page declaration for setting up of unit’DE May 16.
The Government deserves all the appreciation for doing away with the cumbersome process of seeking NOCs from different departments for setting up a unit, and simplifying it with one page declaration at the time of setting up a unit.
The cumbersome process is indeed a big irritant in setting up a unit. It not only involves wastage of time by moving file from one department to another for seeking NOCs, but a great source of corruption. Most of young entrepreneurs are shy of setting up units in the State because of this proceedural irritant. The time consumed in moving file from one office to another was quite taxing. One has to suffer humiliations and embarrassment at every step.
This was a long awaited demand of the would be entrepreneurs and had been brought into the notice of the concerned authorities. Now when this irritant has been removed, one may expect that industrial sector would receive a great thrust.
