LOS ANGELES, Nov 2: Actor Keanu Reeves has revealed that the makers are not thinking about any other ‘The Matrix’ sequel.
Reeves, 49, whose directorial debut ‘Man of Tai Chi’ hit theatres yesterday, played the lead role of Neo in the sci-fi thriller, reported E! online.
Co-directed by Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski, the franchise had three editions, which started in 1999.
“I don’t believe there will be one. I don’t know what the Wachowskis are doing right now other than working on Jupiter. I don’t know if they’re thinking about another Matrix,” he said.
Reeves’ directorial venture ‘Man of Tai Chi’ revolves around a young man (played by ‘Matrix’ stuntman Tiger Hu Chen) who is lured into a deadly underground martial arts fight club ruled by a mysterious tycoon named Donaka Mark (Reeves).
Despite Reeves’ impressive fighting stunts in the flick, he said he is far from being the real deal.
“I’m good at movie Kung fu. I’m a black belt in movie Kung fu. I studied martial arts very briefly when I was a young kid. I was like 10 or 11,” he added. (PTI)
