There is a dearth of jobs in J&K state. Most of the middle class parents have a mindset that their daughters or sons should be married to a Govt employee only. This has created chaos in the youngsters. If they have some private job outside the state, their family is not willing to relocate. This forces the students to do a job in J&K. Most of the students are going for UPSC, KAS and bank exams coaching in Delhi. They also get selected in these competitive exams but the number is very less. Students particularly from open merit category are in depression. But, where are the jobs in J&K?
Even, JKPSC is quite slow in releasing posts and giving the job. For instance, last year they conducted 10+2 lecturer Biotechnology writing test, no interviews have come till now. JKPSC website has given a phone and email but these people never pick the phone and never reply to the email.
Our state has a huge potential for research work. But the jobs are not there. The J&K Science and Technology Deptt is a dead dept in our state. This department can hire scientist in fields of natural products, bioinformatics and patent technology etc. This departmet is the most important and useful for the mankind but it is getting neglected from the past several years.
Previously, the Govt had stared Rehbar-i-Janglat scheme, Rehbar-e-Taleem for the welfare of the people. Similarly, the govt can start a scheme for unemployed PhD degree holders Rehbar-e- science-daan. It is very polite and sincere request to Govt of J&K and decision making bodies to release posts soon and help the needy people. JKSBB has taken good initiative suchas district wise jobs creation. Similarly, district wise jobs opening can help the people and they can serve in their home district. Department of Employment Jammu & Kashmir please wake up.
