No interviews

Sir,
The decision of the Central Government to do away with the old practice of conducting interviews for Group D, C and B non gazetted post in Central Government is more than welcome. The move will help in checking corruption, nepotism and favouritism.
It has been observed that most of the genuine candidates were not provided employment opportunities because the selecting committee would often select only those candidates with whom they were in contact, or were blue eyed boys. It has also come to fore that panelists would pose only such questions which were not related to the subject, just to discourage the candidate, and find fault with his preparation for the job.
The move will also accelerate recruitment process. Conducting interviews is a time consuming and hectic process. It is expected that the State Government adopts this proceedure for recruitment process in the State, and accelerates the pace of recruitment.
Yours etc…
