JAMMU, Aug 14: Like August 12 Eid festival, there was no exchange of sweets and greetings at any point between Indo-Pak troops today on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day on Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu region.
Sources confirmed that sweets and greetings between troops of two countries were not exchanged at Chakan-Da-Bagh on LoC in Poonch district and Octroi Post on IB in Suchetgarh Sector of Jammu, the two major points earmarked for such functions.
At any other points also, the meetings between Indo-Pak troops didn’t take place in view of tension between the two countries following abrogation of special constitutional provisions of J&K, sources said.
