KARGIL, Nov 11: Lieutenant Governor for Union Territory of Ladakh R K Mathur today visited Kargil and assured the people that there will be no discrimination with them.
On his arrival, the LG was presented guard of honour at TFC Kargil by the district administration.

Later, several delegations including Joint Action Committee Kargil called on the LG and apprised him of their demands particularly 14 points memorandum submitted to the previous Governor Satya Pal Malik.
The Joint Action Committee informed the LG that it was only on the assurance by the previous Governor that bandh was postponed but demands have not been conceded till date.
The Lieutenant Governor assured that there will be no discrimination with Kargil and major Government offices will be run at both the districts for the convenience of the people.
