JAMMU, June 21: Finance Department today said that no policy decision has been taken on issuance of fresh liquor licenses in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Finance Department has not taken any policy decision regarding issuance of fresh liquor licenses in unserved areas”, a spokesman said, adding “no list of unserved areas has either been considered or approved”.
The spokesman further said that no decision will be taken without participation of stakeholders and due process. “The reports being circulated in media are not correct as such public should not be misled by the same”, he added.
